The Woodchester Lion Hunt is back new and improved for 2026!

Prepare for a wild expedition: from 11:30am to 1:30pm, ten living, breathing and very friendly lions will be prowling  North Woodchester. 
Be sure to secure your official programme and hunting map, available for purchase at the village shop on Selsley Road from June 1st!

Join the main fair at Woodchester Endowed Primary School from 11.30am to 3pm for non-stop fun including two massive bouncy castles, a sizzling barbecue, a well-stocked bar, joyful country dancing, face-painting, a must-win raffle, a lively tombola, stomp-rocket-welly-wanging and the chance to beat the goalie!

Plus, discover a brand new attraction this year: ‘The Wild Wood’ - a special, immersive zone dedicated to animal-based crafts. Dig a burrow, feather your head-dress, encounter a hedghog, paint a fox! Parking on the village green opposite the school. For an even smoother experience walk, cycle, or catch the 63 bus!
